Great Falls National Park Virginia - 07 Sep 2013
**** GALLERY IS A WORK IN PROGRESS CHECK BACK FOR UPDATES ****
Decided to make a trip at "zero dark thirty" enroute to photograph the "Great Falls National Park" before first light, with the thought of seeing the water at a really low level. I was pleasantly surprise with a really low water level, with an added bonus of mist and fog rising off of the water and rocks.
What was really special for just a brief couple of minutes, witnessing some breath taking light as the sun started to peak just below the horizon illuminating the sky and clouds just behind the trees! Had some serious fun with the Fisheye, 24-70 and 70-200 lens on this trip. The guys on their Kayaks were cutting up the rapids as they made their way thru the various waterfalls, to view photos of them in action double click on the following link: http://babybluesproductions.smugmug.com/Sports/Kayaks/Great-Falls-National-Park-2013 .
